$30M YouTube Privacy Class Action Settlement - File by January 21, 2026.

A major new class action settlement has opened for families whose children used YouTube. Parents across the United States may now file a claim in the $30 million YouTube Children’s Privacy Settlement, even without providing proof.

Details of the YouTube Children’s Privacy Settlement...

If your child was under 13 years old and watched child-directed videos on YouTube between:July 1, 2013 – April 1, 2020 (United States) you may qualify to receive compensation from this settlement.

The lawsuit claims that Google and YouTube collected personal information from children without parental consent, violating federal children’s privacy protection laws.

Allegedly affected content includes:

  • Nursery rhymes

  • Animated shorts

  • Kids’ music videos

  • Children’s cartoons

  • Other videos clearly directed toward kids

The settlement does not require Google or YouTube to admit wrongdoing. They deny the allegations but chose to resolve the case to avoid the cost and burden of prolonged litigation.
