The United States continues to face shortages of physicians, particularly in underserved communities. 

There is also a critical need for more African American men, minorities, women, and many others in healthcare careers. 

Research has shown that a diverse medical workforce helps improve patient trust, communication, cultural understanding, and health outcomes.

According to Black Health Data, Black physicians make up just 5.7% of active physicians in the United States, despite Black Americans comprising 13.6% of the population. African American men remain significantly underrepresented among physicians in the U.S. population. 

For anyone feeling stuck in their current job or believe they missed their chance, Dr. Allamby's message is clear:
